Time immemorial : Love & Memories
How many memories can you recall with 100% clarity? Isn't it amazing that there are certain things that we can recall as if it has just happened yesterday, but in fact, it happened maybe years ago? Like standing infront of the mirror when you were a kid wearing your favourite outfit. Like blowing out the candles on your very first birthday party. Like playing in the rain and spinning around giddy with delight. It's like your deepest wishes just came true and you can't quite believe it.
Recently, there are so many beautiful memories that comes clearly into my mind whenever I close my eyes for a second.
a) The warmth of your smile like an endless summer
b) The delight dancing in your eyes whenever you look me in the eye
c) Our silly little moments during red lights and heavy traffic
d) How I saw a piece of your heart exchange places with mine when I gently placed my fingers on your lips and whispered to you
It is really a miracle, how love changes our perspective. How love gives birth to energy to give us strength in all that we do. How love makes us see all the silver linings in the clouds when the days are gloomy and dark. It's better than the adrenaline rush of free falling. A more gratifying satisfaction in the little gestures of our daily life, like a simple kiss to the forehead sending so much love into our souls.
Love is a lesson that we keep learning each day and it never stops to show you, how much you can grow if you only allow yourself to believe in it once again. Sometimes as we grow, we somehow drift away from the notion that we have nothing new to learn. But in truth, we've only discovered so little in our life and its a shame, that we allow the doubts of yesterday hinder our path of learning, It's essential that we learn that there are always two sides of a coin, that only with love can there be pain, that only with darkness can there be light and only with our past can we have a better present and future.
As we slowly learn to open ourselves to love again and with each moment we dwell in it, the more memories we create and we keep in our hearts. And I believe these are the memories that truly shine and echo deeply in our hearts and minds for a very long time.
So my love, here's to more memories, whether planned or spontaneous, whether silly or serious, whether you like it or not. You're stuck with me to make exciting memories together. And I can't wait for more of us.
